OERO PUDDING CUPS

So I am going to be posting recipeS,OR LIKE TO BELIEVE THAT I HAVE BEEN POSTING RECIPES, that most families love. I don’t know about you, but I have been to many “family friendly” recipe blogs before and there was nothing my kids or even husband would ever let cross their lips. I want this to be a place where you can come and know that anything on this blog will be a hit in your house! Even the salads ;) AT LEAST, I HOPE IT WILL BE 😁

I’m not a fan of eating Oreos by themselves, but they are probably my favorite ingredient to add to desserts. They make everything so yummy!! The Oreos soften up perfectly to make each bite rich and creamy. The pudding adds an extra blast of chocolate and gooeyness. I love the berries in this recipe. It adds such a nice texture to the creaminess of the Cookies and chocolate pudding.

This recipe is jam packed with chocolatey and creamy goodness that will completely WOW your company!

While we generally like to do things from scratch, let’s face it: sometimes you just don’t have the time before your guests arrive. We “cheat” on these Oreo chocolate pudding cups by using a instant pudding mix…but i’ve never had any complaints. In fact, they’re often enjoyed the most.

Although to be perfectly honest with you, the original version I had made was with mousse and also spectacular. The recipe of which you can find in my earlier posts (used the same mousse recipe).

So I can’t decide which one I prefer more, mousse or the pudding…as both have such different tastes and texture. The mousse is more rich and intense while the pudding is well….pudding!!

To make your own “cheater” mousse cups: 🤦🏻‍♀️💁🏻

Finely crush one package [148 gms] of Oreos using a food processor (or crush with a rolling pin). Melt 1/2 cup of butter and add to the Oreo crumbs, mixing well. Press the Oreo mixture into the cups of a muffin tin. Be sure that the bottom of each cup is covered about a 1/4 inch thick, and press the crust up the sides to create a small cookie bowl. Refrigerate. Prepare one box of chocolate pudding according to the instructions on the pack. When the pudding is ready, take the crusts out of the fridge. Use a table knife to ease each crust out of the tin and fill the Oreo cups with the mousse (you can use a spoon, or pipe it in). Garnish with berries and refrigerate until ready to serve.
